Our Commitment to Lincoln’s Business Community

The Town of Lincoln, in partnership with Downtown Beamsville BIA and the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, is taking proactive steps to support businesses affected by trade policy shifts, tariffs, and economic disruptions. Industries across Lincoln—including agriculture, manufacturing, tourism, and retail—are facing increased costs and uncertainty due to evolving import/export duties and regulatory changes.

To ensure a coordinated response, the Lincoln Tariff Response Team (LTRT) was established in March 2025 as a central resource for local businesses navigating these challenges.

We are committed to ensuring Lincoln businesses have a strong, unified voice in trade discussions and access to real-time information and assistance. Our team works to:

Monitor trade and tariff developments to keep businesses informed.

Provide guidance and information about financial resources to help businesses adapt.

Advocate for fair trade policies at the provincial and federal levels and with U.S. counterparts where applicable.

Connect businesses to industry-specific programs and support networks.
