As Lincoln’s most prestigious business awards, the Chamber’s annual Outstanding Business Achievement Awards gala showcases and celebrates high achievement in Lincoln’s business community.

We’re looking forward to celebrating and hosting our Outstanding Business Achievement Awards gala at Sue-Ann Staff Winery on Thursday, September 15, 2022.

Nominations remain open for the Lincoln Tourism Award of Excellence, Young Professional of the Year Award and the
Agri-Business Award until July 31st.

Lincoln Tourism Award of Excellence

This award recognizes business leadership as demonstrated through innovation, ongoing customer satisfaction and business success, staff development and training, community involvement and a propensity for marketing initiatives geared toward attracting visitors to Lincoln and the Niagara Region.

Young Professional of the Year Award

This award recognizes and celebrates the achievements of an individual under the age of 40 (at the time of nomination) who has tackled the challenges of entrepreneurship and/or has demonstrated leadership or professional growth in their field of work within the Town of Lincoln.

Agri-Business Award

This award recognizes excellence in the Agriculture and Agribusiness sector.  The recipient is an Agriculture or Agribusiness focused business that consistently demonstrates achievement in the area of their business focus.  The recipient can range from a farming enterprise through to a beverage and food producer and can include support organizations such as warehouses, wholesalers, processors and retailers

BUSINESS OF THE YEAR SELECTION CRITERIA & PROCESS

Business of the Year Awards

Nominated businesses are judged on the following criteria:

  • Staff/Employee Engagement & Development 
  • Work Place
  • Community 
  • Future & Growth
  • Marketing

A panel of impartial judges, as appointed by the Outstanding Business Achievement Awards Committee, will select TWO Finalists and subsequently, ONE Recipient, for EACH “Business of the Year Award” category, in accordance with procedures established by the OBAA Committee.

It is anticipated that this award will be presented annually for each category. If, in any year, the judges’ panel is unable to recommend a recipient in one or more categories, the award will not be presented.

PRESENTATION of The Business of the Year Awards

Designed to publicly recognize Lincoln’s businesses that exemplify excellence, to be selected as a finalist is in itself a great accomplishment.


Each Business of the Year Finalist (two each in the Small, Medium, and Large categories) receives a professionally produced 2-minute video showcasing its business that will be played at the Awards Gala.


Each Business of the Year award recipient (one each in the Small, Medium. and Large categories) receives a FREE MEMBERSHIP for ONE YEAR in the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, as well as an award for display.
