Media Release: Lincoln Chamber of Commerce to Host Two Candidate Events Ahead of 2026 Municipal Election

Lincoln, ON — September 23, 2026 — With the 2026 Municipal Election approaching on October 26, the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce is bringing the community together for two opportunities to meet and hear from the candidates seeking election in the Town of Lincoln.

The Chamber will host Mayoral Candidates Night on Tuesday, October 13, followed by All Candidates Night on Thursday, October 15, in partnership with the Niagara Association of Realtors, at West Niagara Secondary School. Both events will give residents an opportunity to learn more about the candidates on the ballot, hear their perspectives on issues affecting Lincoln, and become more informed ahead of Election Day.  

Mayoral Candidates Night

Mayoral Candidates Night will provide an opportunity for residents to hear from the three candidates seeking the position of Mayor of the Town of Lincoln: Greg Reimer, Adam Thomas Russell and Cheryl Keddy-Scott.

West Niagara Secondary School 

All Candidates Night will bring together candidates running for Councillor across Lincoln’s three wards and candidates running for School Board Trustee. 

Six (6) Councillors are to be elected, two (2) in each ward. The certified candidates for Councillor are: 

Ward 1: Dianne Rintjema, Canaan El-Hassan, Justin Zegers, and Carlo Filice 

Ward 2: Tony G. Brunet, John D. Pachereva, and Natalie Gervason 

Ward 3: Mike Mikolic, Lynn Timmers, and Shawn Stryker

Make Sure You’re on the Voters’ List 

With Election Day approaching, the Chamber is also encouraging Lincoln residents to make sure they are registered to vote. 

Your name must be on the voters’ list in order to cast a ballot. Voters who need to add or update their information must contact the Town of Lincoln Clerk’s Office.  

Registered voters will receive voter information notices or cards in the mail explaining when and where to vote, including advance polling dates and locations. 

Residents are encouraged to confirm their voter information early and keep their voter information notice or card in a safe place. Voters should also be prepared to provide identification showing their name and Lincoln address when voting in person.
